I wanted to take a moment of my time (and yours) to share how thankful I am for my colleague and fellow dentist, Dr. Kim Freeman. Dr. Freeman works primarily in our Preston dental office, serving communities in North Dallas and Northwest Dallas
Dr. Freeman has been practicing dentistry for over three decades. A long-time family friend, I had the privilege of working for her as an associate when I was just beginning as a young dentist. I am thankful for her having trusted me with her patients and her mentorship and for her continually setting the standard for how to be an amazing person.
As mentioned in her bio, Dr. Freeman has a master’s degree in education. Before attending dental school, she was a biology teacher at Lakeview Centennial High School (having had as a student, in fact, our very own hygienist Susan). I mention this because I know it takes a special kind of person to be a teacher. And Dr. Freeman is that special kind of person.
Dr. Freeman volunteers with Grace Center Texas, a 501(c)(3) whose mission it is “to provide quality dental care and compassionately minister hope to the indigent and underserved” in Dallas. She also offers her services to Dallas 24-Hour Club, a group that provides support services and essential life skills for homeless alcoholics and addicts. It is a cause near and dear to her heart, her family having been impacted tragically by the medical disease of addiction.
And as if her work here in Dallas wasn’t enough, Dr. Freeman routinely travels to foreign countries on medical missions to provide services for those in need abroad.
