Dental treatment for those with special needs

February 12, 2021 by Lynette Page, DDS

In June of 2020, Dr. Page’s passions for continuing education and for providing care to underserved populations led her to invite Dr. David Goydan, a highly respected dentist with extensive experience serving patients with special needs, to join Page Dental Group.

Dr. Goydan, who holds fellowship and diplomate status in numerous dental and anesthesia organizations including the American Dental Association and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, has been recognized for the care he has provided to patients with mental and/or physical disabilities. He is a recipient of the Health Care Heroes Award for Community Outreach. For over thirty years, he has devoted a significant part of his practice to serving patients with special health care needs, working closely with dozens of agencies to coordinate their care and ensure that those patients can make the most of the healthcare benefits available to them.

Dr. Page and the rest of our team are thrilled by the addition of Dr. Goydan and his staff to create a special needs dentist in Dallas. As importantly with the opportunity to be learning, from some of the industry’s best, how to provide superlative care for a population that is all too often underserved and overlooked. They are familiar with the details of various programs and resources available to patients with special needs, such as the Home and Community-based Services Waiver Program (HCS), the Texas Home Living Program (TxHmL), and Community Living Assistance and Support Services (CLASS). They also have strong working relationships with the various agencies that facilitate care for patients with special needs.

As a result of Dr. Page and Dr. Goydan’s collaboration, our team has the training, equipment, and experience required to allow us to remove barriers and to increase access to quality dental services for individuals with special needs in Dallas.

If you believe that you or someone you love might benefit from this expertise, please do not hesitate to call or contact our East Dallas office .
